The people are warm and inviting, the food is amazing, there is a range of landscapes and cultural experiences, and it’s incredibly beautiful. One of the other reasons Thailand is such a great place to visit is that it’s quite affordable. Average rates for luxury hotels in Thailand are much less than what you will find in Europe or the US and it can be an amazing value.

Island Hopping

Thailand has some of the most beautiful beaches and islands anywhere. You will feel instantly in paradise in the Samui Islands or Andaman Islands. Snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing - you can do all of these in the crystal blue waters surrounding the islands.

Koh Samui

When I lived in Thailand in 2019, I stayed on Koh Tao, the smallest of the three Samui Islands. Koh Samui is the largest - it’s accessible by a short flight from Bangkok (45 min) and has a variety of luxurious accommodations to choose from. You’ll be able to relax poolside, spend time at the beach, go snorkeling or scuba diving, or just chill out in your room. This is an ideal destination for honeymoons or anniversary trips as these resorts are rather small and intimate, expect plenty of privacy with impeccable service.
