Getting the Most out of Your Travel Advisor
If you’ve never worked with an advisor before, you may be unfamiliar with the process and how to best work with us.
Here are our tips and tricks for getting the most out of your travel advisor experience so you can reap all the benefits AND have the unforgettable trip you’ve been dreaming of.
Be Specific on What You Want
To plan the ideal trip for you, we need to have a clear understanding of what you are looking for in your trip. Be as specific as possible with what you envision.
When we start working with a client, we send an inquiry form to learn more about the trip you want to plan and your travel preferences. Our initial consultation call is the next step to getting to know you better so we can customize your itinerary to fit your desires. Start by sharing your travel goals—whether it's relaxation, adventure, cultural immersion, or a mix of everything. Discuss your preferences in terms of destinations, accommodations, dining, and activities.
We love when clients offer detailed and honest feedback on their proposals - This is YOUR trip! We want to get the details just right for you and ensure we are delivering the perfect itinerary.
Communicate your Budget
Luxury travel offers a vast range of experiences, and we can help you maximize your budget by recommending the best value for your money. Be transparent about your budget, including any flexibility you might have for exceptional experiences or upgrades. This ensures we can craft a trip that aligns with your financial comfort while exceeding your expectations.
Plan Ahead
Ideal timing to start working with us is 6-12 months before your trip.
Luxury travel often involves securing reservations at exclusive venues, booking premium seats or accommodations, and organizing unique experiences that may have limited availability. Start planning your trip well in advance to ensure we can secure the best options for you. This is especially important during peak travel seasons or for popular destinations.
You may think a travel advisor is perfect when it comes to last minute trip planning that you don’t have time for. However, this is not a great way to work with us. The more lead time we have to work on your trip, the better the overall experience and process will be. We’ll have time to perfect your itinerary together, rather than rushing to make decisions based on what is or is not available. Our ability to provide the best possible experience for you is compromised when we don’t have a lot of time to put the trip together.
Provide feedback and be open to adjustments
After discussing the initial itinerary, review it thoroughly and provide feedback. If there are any aspects you're unsure about or wish to change, communicate this openly. Adjustments can be made to ensure every detail aligns with your vision.
Use our full range of services.
The best way to work with us is to let us plan the whole trip together - hotel accommodations, transfers, activities, etc. From arranging private tours and exclusive dining reservations to securing spa appointments and managing special occasions, make use of our full range of expertise to enhance every aspect of your journey.
If you want to book any components of your trip on your own or without our help, please consult with us first. We can provide you with recommendations or tips if you choose to book something separately. This also ensures that we don’t waste time researching and planning for things you are booking yourself.
Trust our Expertise
Most importantly, trust us! We are travel industry professionals, and we work extremely hard to provide excellent service to our clients. We have extensive knowledge and industry connections that allow us to offer insights and access that you might not find on your own. Trust our recommendations and be open to suggestions. We may just introduce you to hidden gems and exclusive experiences that will elevate your journey beyond the typical tourist path.
