Earlier this year, while attending my host agency conference in France, I had one of those lightbulb travel advisor moments. Getting There
Roatan is surprisingly accessible. Daily nonstop flights operate from Miami (American) and Houston (United). American and Delta offer seasonal flights from Dallas and Atlanta, with increased frequency during peak months. An expansion to the Roatan airport is underway, promising a more seamless arrival experience in the future.
Another option: fly into San Pedro Sula (SAP) on the mainland and connect to Roatan via a short domestic flight.
