When most people think of Europe, they picture cobblestone streets, café terraces, and museum-lined boulevards. And while that version of Europe absolutely has its place, there’s another side—one that’s wilder, more active, and just as refined.

One of my favorite feelings when traveling is being totally overwhelmed and in awe of the history and the majesty of the place where I am. Whether it's an incredibly beautiful destination or an awe-inspiring landmark that totally exceeds my expectations, I love feeling blown away by a new place or experience. Here are a few of my own favorite wonders of the world and the places that made my jaw drop.
