Every so often, a trip comes across my desk that reminds me exactly why I do this work. This one was a milestone anniversary — two weeks, three countries, and a route I'd happily take myself: the Julian Alps of Slovenia, the sun-warmed coast of Istria, and Venice as the finale. It's the kind of itinerary that sounds ambitious on paper and feels effortless in practice, which is really the whole point of working with an advisor instead of stitching it together yourself.

One of my favorite feelings when traveling is being totally overwhelmed and in awe of the history and the majesty of the place where I am. Whether it's an incredibly beautiful destination or an awe-inspiring landmark that totally exceeds my expectations, I love feeling blown away by a new place or experience. Here are a few of my own favorite wonders of the world and the places that made my jaw drop. Traveling during harvest season provides a unique opportunity for visitors to see the wine making process in action. .It’s also a time of celebration - there are local festivals throughout the season that feature local wines, foods, music, and dancing so this can be a wonderful time to travel and experience the local culture. 

White washed walls, sparkling blue seas, and olive groves everywhere you look - this is Puglia. It’s an incredibly beautiful part of the country with a more relaxed vibe than you’ll find in those more touristy seaside areas such as the Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre.
